Whittall Street is a Sexual health clinic located in Birmingham City Centre. Sexual health clinics are also known as Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) or GU clinics.
People usually attend a sexual health clinic when they notice something wrong with their genitals or because they would like a simple check-up. Others are referred by their GP, so despite what others may think, most people in the clinic waiting room do not have a sexually transmitted infection.
At Whittall Street Clinic we provide a comprehensive, free and confidential Sexual Health Service, including screening for sexually transmitted infections, HIV testing, sexual health information, clinics dedicated for young people, contraception sessions and counselling. We also have an outreach clinic based at Soho Health Centre in Handsworth “streetwise@soho”, which offers STI testing and treatment and a clinic for young people.
If you are starting a new relationship, come and have a check up before you stop using condoms.
